It is often easy to feel helpless when something like this start in your community. Currently, there is a large petition online of people in our community fighting against this district initiative. Below are a list of things that you can do to take control of our community and stand up against this infill process.
Below is a list of ways to get involved and we need to do it with urgency! Remember that this effects all communities in our district and the way that the current city council is trying to shape the future of our town!
Nothing is more powerful than writing a letter to the full council!
The District of Squamish is using the platform letstalksquamish.ca to gather information about this neighbourhood. Specifically, there is a survey that asks about infill in Garibaldi Estates, first in a general way and then by specific area.
Please note: The survey does not give an option of ‘None of the Above’ and if you feel that this is what you want to say, please select ‘Other’ and leave your comments for the district.
